Responsibilities
Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs and correspondence.
Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs and motions.
Determine strategies and solutions for cases, in order to satisfy customer needs after an analysis.
Supervise paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff.
Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings.
Requirements
A solid knowledge of legal research programs such as Fastcase, Westlaw, and Lexis products is required.
Efficient time management.
Critical thinking.
Ability to multitask.
Negotiation, debate and persuasion skills.
Mastery of civil procedure and discovery of evidence.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Family Law Attorney
Provide representation to clients in court in cases involving immigration and family law.
Maintain a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances and conferences.
Attend trials and court proceedings.
Monitor and manage legal issues that arise between members of the same family.
Routinely interact with social workers, supervisors, program directors, and program administrators.
Supervise and conduct mediation sessions, providing effective legal advice.
Organize and record all official documents required to present cases.
Keep clients informed on a regular basis about the status of their cases.

Additional Requirements
Knowledge of using Microsoft Office programs is required.
Graduation from law school with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and experience representing clients for at least 2 years.
Previous experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years is required.
Candidates must be members of their local bar association (active membership preferred).
Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Salary or Compensation
$90,000 - $110,000
